The cool and very busy kids at Strategik have come up with yet another fun-filled way to obliterate your Sunday. This time it's a 14-hour bass-driven, booty shakin, Valentines Day brunch at Triple Crown. Saturday November 28 - Battle of the Bands!
Join us for a post-Thanksgiving celebration of the many wondrous and unsung qualities of that venerable and highly functional american fashion icon - the sweatband! Whether deployed on forehead, wrists, or other easily banded and potentially sweaty appendages, the sweatband is both a bold and colorful fashion statement while simultaneously providing its wearer with the many obvious benefits accruing to the lack of a slick and glistening personal sheen (especially when you're slingin vinyl or it's modern digital counterparts!)


Luckily, here in the cultural forward base that is the Bay Area, we have a couple of absolute sweatband freakin pioneers in MACE and Zach Moore. They'll be joined by myself, Kramer, Tamo and Murphstar for a full-on, mega melee, tag team throw down and of sweaty and sweatbanded DJs, this coming Saturday at Shine. October 10, 2009 - FnF + Fernseed Oaktoberfest Street Party
Join Friends and Family and Fernseed, Oakland's super re-fabulous home furnishings boutique, for a full-on street party as part of the Dimond District's Oaktoberfest street fair! The whole neighborhood will be blocked off, there'll be a ginormous beer tent featuring 20+ local microbreweries, hand crafted sausage out the wazoo, booths for local shops and artists, some traditional entertainment and, of course, us, going nuts! September 25, 2009 - EVIL
Alex Windsor and I have the very distinct privilege of playing with tech house legend Evil Eddie Richards, and in the friendly and intimate environs of my favorite DJ bar, Shine. Not to put too fine a point on it, but Evil Eddie was slingin phat beats when I was still poopin yellow. Man can play and I'm pumped to help warm the room up for him. Thanks to Otto Imken for puttin this together and including us, almost as crusty, locals.
